Deacon
Deacon Lemay was ordained in 1982. His first assignment was St. John the Evangelist in Pocassett on Cape Cod. He was later assigned to the Parish of Christ the King in Mashpee. In November of 1993 he was assigned as Pastoral Assistant and in June 2005 was assigned as the Director of the R.C.I.A. by Bishop George W. Coleman.
Lemay, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work at Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, Ma. was employed with the Department of Social Services in Yarmouth on Cape Cod, working in child proctection.
He was married to the former Joanne M. Nowak, of Lowell, Ma. Together they raised 4 children. Today they are the proud grandparents of 11 grandchildren.
"I cannot express the emotions of being honored to serve the Diocese as the Director of RCIA. In our journey of faith we wonder what it is that God wants us to do. I pray that all those involved in the process of this Rite will expirience the presence of Christ as we journey togeter with the Catechumens and the Candidates."
