| Rev. Deacon Paul J. Macedo
was born in New Bedford, MA. He graduated
from St. Mary's College, St. Mary, KY with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy,
and from Roger Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.
He was married in 1974 and has two children — a girl and a boy. He is
currently employed by Stop and Shop Pharmacy as a Certified
Pharmacy Technician.
Paul was ordained a Permanent Deacon on June 20, 1987.
Mr. Macedo was assigned to his home parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel until
January 2001, at which time he was transferred to St. John the Baptist
Parish in New Bedford. In 2000 he was assigned to the RCIA Office to
assist Father Henry Dahl. Among other duties, he is the Area
Co-coordinator for the Deacons in the New Bedford area, and he serves
as President of the Deacon Council of the Diocese of Fall River.
